PTC LiveWorx is back May 15-18, 2023, in Boston, Massachusetts, live for the first time since 2020.
The four-day technology event historically focuses on digital transformation and is meant to educate and inform. The LiveWorx event features 45-plus training sessions on topics like CAD, PDM, PLM, Industrial Automation, AR, and many more. This year all training is included in the price of registration.
Painting the LiveWorx 2023 Scene
Training is absolutely the best thing about user conferences, and that’s usually how you sell your manager on the idea of paying for and traveling to the event. But there’s much more to LiveWorx than just training.
The 200,000-square-foot exhibit hall – called “Xtropolis” – is where you can experience hands-on demonstrations and talk to dozens of technology-leading companies to get answers to your questions. You will also hear from PTC executives who are rethinking how technology can be used to make an impact in the digital era.

And for the first time ever … drumroll please … Onshape will be represented at LiveWorx! That’s right, this year’s sessions included several topics of interest for Onshape’s 3 million-plus user community, including hands-on test drives, Onshape Certification exams, and Tips and Tricks sessions for power users.
Onshape Training Session: Hands-On Test Drive
This training is geared toward new Onshape users or people who want to learn how Onshape can revolutionize their design practices. The two-hour class will walk you through a design focusing on topics that are unique to Onshape. Explore modeling techniques, sharing and collaboration tools, data management (built-in PDM), and more!
You will work in a team within the class to design and manage data, learning about Onshape’s key differentiators in the process. Some topics include Onshape Documents, Part Studios, Assemblies and Mating, and much, much more.
Onshape Training Session: Certification
Included with your registration is the opportunity to become a certified Onshape Associate or Onshape Professional. You may take either exam during LiveWorx (Monday-Thursday between 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.).
There is no need to register in advance for the certification course, but it will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you pass one of the exams, you will receive a Certified Associate or Professional T-shirt to wear proudly during the rest of LiveWorx!
Onshape Training Session: Power User Tips and Tricks
Finally, there are several chances to sit in on the Power User Tips and Tricks session. This session explores different features and tools that can help you become a faster and more efficient designer. Attendees will explore several different advanced areas within Onshape, from features in Part Studios and collaboration tools to overall design strategies.
