Biweekly Onshape User Group meetings continue to provide great technical content and it’s always nice to see the people I’ve met (albeit mostly online) and spend some time chatting before the meeting starts.

We’ve had some outstanding presentations and some wonderful hosts – thanks to all the (too numerous to mention) people who have hosted, presented, and attended. I’d like to meet you at one of our online meetings as well – check the calendar for upcoming events.

Next User Group Meeting

Women Who CAD Onshape User Group

The Women Who CAD Onshape User Group is meeting on April 25 featuring a surfacing session presented by Michael “The Professor” LaFleche. The meeting will finish with an interactive, tremendously fun “Pictionary” type game using Onshape, and you can participate.

You don’t want to miss this one. More details can be found by following the link below!

Onshape User Group for Startups

The first meeting of the Onshape User Group for Startups is April 27, and it will be a good one.

The Onshape Program for Startups and Entrepreneurs is off and running, and this group will be a great resource for new Onshape users to learn tips, to share ideas, and to network with peers.

The first meeting of a new user group is where some of the important decisions are made – frequency of meetings and future topic ideas for example, so you don’t want to miss your chance to provide some input.

Lately, we’re hearing from Onshape users that it might be time to get together in-person and bring back some of the local chapters that were so successful before the pandemic. More on that very soon.

I’m a Fan of User Conferences, Too. Big User Conferences!

Finally, I’m excited to share that I will be attending LiveWorx 23 on May 15-18 in Boston, the first user conference I’ve attended in more than five years.

I can’t wait to meet some of the Onshape users I’ve met online, and I plan to sit in on many of the Onshape technical sessions to improve my skills.

I’m really happy that I’ll finally be walking among thousands of designers, engineers, coders, and fellow employees at Xtropolis. I’ll be sitting down to breakfast and lunch and listening to stories about product development, 3D printing, and probably sports.

And even though I’m more of an 80s rock fan, I’ll check out country star and double platinum album artist Dierks Bentley’s show at the Mix @ 6 Tech Tailgate party and hope he performs one of my late mother’s favorite Johnny Cash songs.
