What is Onshape Live?

Onshape Live is our annual user conference where we help you enhance your design skills.  During this event, you’ll get practical tips, tricks, and advice from Onshape product experts and customers about how you can accelerate your design process. This free conference is filled with hours of live interactive sessions, plus a special sneak peek at what’s ahead on the product roadmap. You don’t want to miss it.


We have two special viewing experiences for Onshape Live.  Please select the best day that works for your timezone. 

  • The Americas Event: Wednesday, March 2nd, beginning at 12:00 p.m. EST.  
  • The European Event: Thursday, March 3rd, beginning at 10:00 a.m. GMT.

A technology pioneer and entrepreneur, Jon Hirschtick is passionate about empowering innovators so they can design products that positively impact society and the planet. He understands the challenges engineers face as they build products for the modern era, as well as the design platforms required to accelerate product innovation in today’s connected world.
Founder of Onshape and SOLIDWORKS, Hirschtick is now executive vice president (EVP) at PTC and general manager (GM) of its Onshape and Atlas divisions, responsible for driving strategy and growth, while empowering global businesses to shape the future.

Paul ChastellSVP R&D, OnshapePTC

Paul joined Onshape in 2013, focusing initially on development of sketch and part modeling functionality in Onshape, before taking on the role of VP R&D a couple of years ago. A Mathematics and Computing graduate from Exeter University in the UK, Paul has spent his entire career focusing on geometry and CAD, including many years at SolidWorks. 

Onshape Design Competition 2022

We are excited to announce the second annual Onshape Design Competition as part of Onshape Live! This year we want to recognize the incredible designs and features Onshape users have created. You will have the opportunity to submit your best parts, assemblies, and custom features for the opportunity to be showcased during Onshape Live and win some exciting prizes.
