No, developer licenses are available at no-cost upon request. Commercial listing details are provided during the onboarding process with the Onshape partnerships team.
There are 3 types of Onshape apps:
- An Integrated Cloud App runs directly in the Onshape interface, these apps are typically displayed as a side panel within an Onshape Document.
- A Cloud Connected App provides a connection to a cloud application outside of Onshape such as SimScale.
- A Connected Desktop App provides a connection to a desktop application installed on your machine, such as Keyshot.

For Customers
No, if you are a paying Onshape customer, Developer Licenses are not required to develop private or public applications. You are able to do so with your paid Onshape licenses.
No, using an application from the Onshape App Store does not count towards your annual API allocation.
